I love Love LOVE this hat I love Love LOVE this hat! I was expecting the hat to have a different sort of feel to the fabric, but it turns out I like the way it feels better than what I expected. With a name like turtle fur, I expected like a microfleece kind of feel, like the felt from a pool table but this is smooth. It’s absolutely perfect for what I was looking for. I tend to sweat a lot with almost any physical exertion, no matter the outside temperature. Which can be very frustrating when it’s very cold out, because being wet AND cold, really sucks! So this hat breathes very well, one cold morning I had it on, it was around 17 degrees outside and we were working on a Hardscaping project. That morning as we were getting ready for the day, the air was just so cold and getting through the airiness of the hat, so I put a different fleece hat over top of the turtle fur one. Solved the problem of too much airflow and I got nice and warm again. Later in the day when I was working harder and I was getting warm,…

The “Just Right” Beanie Of all the tech fiber, helmet liner type caps I tried this one wins the day for me.Why? 1) It’s super soft inside. 2) Double layered around the cuff—particularly important in protecting my ears as a road cyclist. 3) It’s snug all the way around the cuff—again the ears—but not too tight. 4) Seems to be a “just right” middle weight—not as thick as the Turtle Fur Frost Liner, but a bit thicker than the Turtle Fur Tactical Silver-Tex.Two notes: I’ve yet to try it on a real cold day, will report back; my hat size is 7 or 7&1/8.
