How does Gordon Brown expect to make his name by reducing Carbon emissions?
Gordon Brown has nailed his colours to the mast with the Golbal Warming scam, the only thing he and his government will do is to increase taxes in England to pay for what ever outlandish plans he has. The only effect that this will have is put more people out of work as travel becomes inordinately expensive, it will be noted that he does nothing to improve public transport which would encourage people to leave their cars at home, his retoric is therefore just that retoric.

Considering that Gordon Brown negotiated a loan, last year, from the World Bank to fund coal fuelled power stations (two open a week) for China the Worlds worst polluter with scant concern for the environment or human life his record on the environment is a hypocritical disgrace.
By over- achieving on emission targets. However, I am always worried that we shall be paying substantially more "green taxes" which will be used to plug one of his black holes. I find he uses a "smirky" smile when he makes a promise and that concerns me.
If he stopped talking a load of old cow dung that would lesson even more the carbon emissions in the air.
You appear to have answered the question yourself. It’s just more hot air to get himself on TV and to shut up the environmental lobby for another 6 months or so.
He has jumped on the Al Gore lie, probably showed by Gore how to raise taxes, and buy carbon credits, to make him self rich off of all the taxpayers, even the ones who know it is a lie, will have to pay anyway. Rhetoric is a nice word for it, he joined the scam against taxpayers.
Good question, but Gordon ‘Robber’ Brown will increase taxes in the UK not just England to pay for his schemes. I don’t know about rhetoric I would have said he’s just a windbag !. Of course there is merit in recycling etc but the stealth taxes on ordinary people for using their cars is an injustice. It should be remembered that Brown and his gang drive around in ‘gas guzzlers’ paid for by us. Of course their excuse is it’s for security. I won’t mention their air travel accompanied by large entourages.
