Gordon Brown says UK economy is in great shape (23Nov08)
In an interview for BBC’s “The Politics Show”, Gordon Brown refuses to accept responsibility for the UK’s terrible economic mess, it’s America’s fault, it’s the banks fault, it’s everyone elses fault but his own.
The 11 years New Labour have been in power, the UK saved nothing, and now the population will pay, being fiscally stimulated to spend itself deeper into a recession.

Well. here we are at the worst recession for 30 years (unemployment rising to 3 million plus those shunted onto disability during the last recession) and Gov debt at nearly £1.4 TRILLION (more than the USA yet we are one 7th the size!)
The private sector has closed nearly every decent pension scheme because they cannot afford them. There is barely any manufacturing base and the financial sector is decimated. The farmers have been ignored and allowed to fail and investors have fled!!..
All the private pensions schemes will shortly be closed for final salary . This incompetant Government has destroyed the pension system (except for themselves, which they recently quietly voted in Parliament to top up !!!!!)
Now they wish to totally cover up their expenses, claiming it is too expensive to list them. Try letting a Private business tell that to the taxman!! They would be called in instantly.
